Hotel Castro, located inside the old section of the medieval Castle (Castro), is part of the northern defensive side of the fortress of Folegandros, which served as a defensive fort as well as residence protecting the population against hostile raids and piratical invasions.

How to reach Folegandros

By Air : Folégandros has no airport. The closest airport to Folegandros is the one in Santorini,Naxos and Paros

By Boat : The island of Folegandros can be easily reached from Athens. There are three ports, those of Piraeus, the 2nd one of Rafina and the last one Laurium. During the summer season, the ferry companies add extra routes to their scheduled ones. There are also, almost daily, routes to the Cyclades islands linked by local ferries.
